- Dapibuset is developing a container-based fermentation unit that converts grain and farm byproducts into protein-rich animal feed, produced directly on the farm.
- Unlike industrial alternatives, our system is designed for on-farm use—simplifying the supply chain and supporting local, resilientfood systems.
- The goal? Match the cost and performance of soy-based feed, while reducing emissions, food waste, and reliance on imports.
- Our technology boosts protein levels from ~11% to 30–32%, with ongoing R&D focused on optimization and scalability.
- We’re working with Lund University and SLU to optimize microbial performance and ensure our feed meets nutritional and safety standards. Feeding trials on cows, pigs, and chickens are planned for fall 2025, following promising lab results showing the protein and amino acid profile produced by our microbes are well-suited for single-stomach animals.
- The platform is designed for easy integration, with farmers simply plugging in electricity and water to get started.
- We’re targeting a 3-year payback period for farmers, with field pilots in 2025 and a market launch planned for 2026, pending test results.
