We are proud to announce that we’ve received a global award for advancing circular, waste-reducing food solutions.

Award in Circular Food Innovation
We’re excited to share that Dapibuset has been awarded second place in the Rosewood Seeds: Sustainability in Food competition — a global program led by the Rosewood Foundation, in partnership with Brinc and supported by Rosewood Hotel Group. Focused entirely on food-waste reduction and circular innovation, the competition drew applicants from every corner of the world.
The announcement went live this week, following a pitch process that brought together some of the most forward-thinking innovators tackling food waste today. This year’s theme, Food Waste Reduction, attracted more than 100 applications from 37 countries across foodtech and agritech. After a careful evaluation, eight finalists were selected to pitch solutions capable of reducing waste at scale and strengthening resilience across the food system.
From shelf-life-extending coatings and upcycled ingredients to smart logistics and inventory tools, the breadth of ideas highlighted how multi-layered the food-waste challenge truly is.
Being selected among the final eight was already an honor — receiving second place is something we’re incredibly proud of. We were grateful to stand alongside such a diverse and inspiring group of innovators, all working in different ways to build a more sustainable food future.

A Global Effort to Reduce Food Waste
Food waste is one of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. It drains resources, drives emissions, and limits access to nutritious food — with nearly one-third of all food produced globally going to waste.
The Rosewood Foundation and Brinc designed the Rosewood Seeds program to spotlight solutions that deliver real, measurable impact. As Brinc put it:
“Buzzwords don’t reduce waste — real circular solutions do.”
Both organizations share a deep commitment to circularity. For the Rosewood Foundation, innovation in circularity is one of its core pillars — accelerating solutions that reduce waste, preserve resources, and strengthen local and global circular economies. Their work connects entrepreneurs to the networks, expertise, and platforms needed to scale transformative ideas. Since 2022, they’ve supported more than 60 entrepreneurs and linked companies with experts across hospitality, sustainability, and venture.
Brinc, a global accelerator and early-stage investor, champions circular solutions that can truly work at scale — backing founders who prioritize action over slogans and measurable outcomes over marketing.
This year’s competition focused on solutions addressing food waste across the entire value chain: from smarter supply-chain management and shelf-life extension to upcycled ingredients and resource-efficient production models. The eight finalists represented a global mix of approaches, each offering a unique contribution to the future of circular food systems.

The Winners

1st Prize – Kitocoat (Sweden)
2nd Prize – Dapibuset (Sweden)
3rd Prize – Jaikla Pet (Thailand)
We warmly congratulate Kitocoat, who received first place for their biodegradable, shelf-life-extending coating for fruits and vegetables, and Jaikla Pet, awarded third place for their innovative insect-based pet nutrition. We’re grateful to have been selected among the top three innovators.
Standing alongside these teams — and all eight finalists — highlighted the collective ingenuity driving the global food-waste movement. We also extend our congratulations to every participating startup for their impressive work and shared commitment to pushing food sustainability forward.
As the second-place winner, we will receive prize funding, visibility through Brinc and Rosewood Hotel Group’s global networks, and the opportunity to explore potential pilot collaborations within the hospitality sector.

Looking Ahead
It has been a good month at Dapibuset, with several recognitions that encourage us to keep pushing forward. Receiving second place in the Rosewood Seeds competition is not only an exciting milestone — it also shows how urgently the world needs new circular models for food production, resource use, and protein systems.
We are looking ahead with energy and optimism. We’re excited to continue building solutions that regenerate value, and we look forward to exploring potential pilot opportunities within Rosewood’s hospitality ecosystem. The possibility of deeper collaboration is inspiring, and we’re eager to keep the conversation going.
This recognition strengthens our momentum — and we’re grateful for the continued support as we work to scale meaningful, circular change.
Thank you!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rosewood Foundation, Brinc, Rosewood Hotel Group, and the entire community of innovators dedicated to reducing food waste around the world.
